Domestic Violence is a common - but hidden - crime

  • 1 in 4 women in the U.K. are likely to have experienced domestic violence as adults.

Domestic violence can happen to anyone

  • It is likely that you, someone you know or someone you work with will experience domestic violence at some point.

Public agencies cannot choose whether to respond

  • All agencies working with the public are already working with domestic violence

Who Should Attend

Youth Workers, Social Workers, Doctors, CPN’s, Health Visitors, Drugs Workers, CARAT Workers, Probation, Police, Resettlement Officers, Managers and anyone who comes into contact with the aforementioned client group.

The Course

  • Improve understanding and awareness of the causes, patterns and effects of domestic violence
  • Clarify the roles of statutory agencies on responding to domestic violence
  • Encourage appropriate and consistent responses to domestic violence across the country
